ABOUT
Tulip's kogin needles are especially suited for kogin, a Japanese embroidery technique similar to Sashiko. Unlike Sashiko embroidery however, kogin involves working with straight stitches following a counted pattern. By counting the spaces in the fabric weave, you create geometric patterns. Traditionally, kogin embroidery was intended to make clothing thicker and warmer. Tulip's kogin needles have a rounded tip and are 1.14mm wide and 65mm long. Each pack contains 4 needles, which are supplied in a transparent tube with a cork stopper, and are packed inside a cardboard box.
The strong straight but rounded point makes them particularly useful for darning knitwear.
