Where is the event/workshop held?

All events/workshops are held at Bawn Textiles, 613 Pollokshaws Road, G41 2QG unless stated otherwise in the event/workshop description.

How do I get there?

There is free on street parking outside the shop, and surrounding streets. Please note that most of these side streets are one-way systems. Please check for parking signs, as these may change.

Local Bus routes: 3, 38B, 5, 57, 57A & 6 plus a 5-minute walk.

Nearest Train Stations: Queen’s Park, Pollokshields East & Pollokshields West – plus a 5-10-minute walk.

Is the venue accessible?

The event/workshop space is accessible. There are no steps or ramps. Our rest room facilities are on the same level but may not be suitable for all needs. It is small without turning space for a wheelchair or other mobility aids. Please get in touch if you would like more information. 

Are sewing machines provided?

No, but you are welcome to BYOM.

What do I need to bring?

Each event/workshop will list what is included/needed for in the workshop. We advise you bring your own scissors, pins etc. 

How many will be in the class?

Numbers depend on the event/activity. 

Are workshops suitable for children?

Please contact us to enquire about specific workshops.

Can I cancel my booking?

For workshop/event tickets bought through an external host eg. Eventbrite or another business, it is up to the host whether or not they will accept a cancellation.

For workshop/event tickets bought through the Bawn website you may cancel up to 1 week before the scheduled workshop for a full refund. Cancellations with less than 1 weeks’ notice are non-refundable and non-transferable to future workshops/events. 

Will I be famous?

Workshop hosts may wish to take photographs of you working away for social media, website content, funding applications etc. Please pipe up if you rather they didn’t. No questions asked.
