We had the pleasure of working with Rebecca from Ploterre to design this one of a kind riso print, limited edition of 100 copies. A3 on 175gsm on GF Smith Colourplan natural paper.
The text on the print reads:
This fabric is inspired by the Jacquard weaving method of using data to create pattern. The data here describes the number of people weaving through Glasgow by foot and bicycle. Data was woven into the design by creating a series of formulas using the very thing the Jacquard method influenced.
Each warp relates to a week and each weft is a street. Streets are ordered top to bottom from North West to South East. Weft crossing warp shows an increase in people from the previous week. The florescent weft highlights the two streets leading to Bawn and the florescent warp is the week Bawn first opened its doors.
